Instagram's New "Notes" Feature: Everything You Need to Know

Hi Friends, I am sure you may have noticed a new Instagram feature has been added lately. This feature appears at the top of your inbox, called "Notes." Do you know how to use it? What is it for? How does a business account benefit from it? This blog will answer all your questions. Keep reading it!

What are Instagram Notes?

The Meta-owned platform ( formally known as Facebook) has launched a new feature, "Notes," to their users. Many people are saying Instagram has stolen Twitter's feature. People familiar with Twitter will notice that they also have a new feature called 'Notes,' which is not the same as the Instagram one. With Instagram's Notes, users can share quick notes with their followers about what they think in their minds, and the sticky notes will disappear in 24 hours.

Instagram Notes allows you to post short quick notes to your close friends or followers. It will enable Instagram users to post messages of up to 60 characters.

This feature acts like the stories which will disappear in 24 hours. More importantly, this feature helps to highlight important messages from friends that they don't want to list in the inbox and could post them to stories.

Why do we need this new feature?

To answer this question, Meta spokesperson said, "We're always working on ways to help you better connect on Instagram. We're now testing Notes so people can quickly share thoughts with their friends, with a small group of people to start"

How to use it?

1. In the top right corner, tap the Instagram Messenger icon.

2. Click the plus sign to the left of Notes that have already been published.

3. Type your Note in a creative way.

4. Share your Note with your Close Friends list or followers you follow back.

5. Hit Share on the top right to spread your message!

You can delete notes by tapping on the Note and selecting Delete Note.

When your audience replies to your Note, it will appear in your message and be between the two of you, while others cannot see the private reply.

How does a business account benefit from this?

Your audiences will see your quick Note on top of their inbox as soon as they open it. Additionally, you could inform them if there’s a promotion or new sales in the Note, allowing all your audience to keep updated. This feature would help any size of business account to communicate with your audience.
